A group of my coworkers is going to a Lord of the Rings Marathon at the Loft, August 26th from noon to 10,30pm. That's right, ten and a half hours of butt-numbing, swamp-cooled, overly-dedicated geekness on the largest screen in Tucson! I asked, can I invite my friends? and they said Sure!
Tickets are $10 in advance, on sale now. Respondez-vous to this blog if you're up for it.
Hmmm... swamp-cooled theater, likely a big crowd, August 26th in Tucson... I wonder how many heavily-costumed geeks will pass out from heat exhaustion?

	From: ryan Date: Tue Aug 1 16:19:26 MST 2006 Subject: deliverance... Andrea just reminded me that we had already made plans for the 26th, so we won't be going to the LOTR marathon. I have mixed feelings about this because I too am a serious nerd and part of me would feel right at home in a stuffy theatre with a hundred other nerds for 10 and a half hours.
